Live Casino site for Greater Latrobe chamber's inaugural expo and conference
Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its inaugural Connect Conference and Expo April 11 at Live Casino Pittsburgh, in Hempfield’s Westmoreland Mall.
The event is set for 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the casino’s top level and will include booth displays by area businesses and organizations, guided networking, a choice of breakout class sessions and lunch at the Sports & Social Steel City restaurant.
“It’s a way to connect with other businesses and services you might need for your business,” said Briana Tomack, chamber president and CEO. “It’s like one-stop shopping.”
Class topics include client service, leadership, financial management and generational opportunities and challenges.
Featured speakers include: Mandy Zalich, CEO of Westmoreland Community Action; Jim Bendel, director of planned giving at Saint Vincent College; Justin Yeskey, consulting partner with ERA Group; and Step Mihleder of SPARK Consulting, which is collaborating with the chamber in organizing the event.
The event won’t be all about business.
Attendees can enjoy the acoustic music of guitarist Flat Top Matt while dining. They’ll also have the chance to visit with therapy dogs, have their photo taken and participate in raffles.
Friday is the deadline to register.
The $75 cost for attendees includes $10 credit at the casino. The $105 VIP package also includes bowling and simulated golfing.
