A 40-year-old video game enthusiast exposed himself in the parking lot of a busy Hempfield shopping plaza Saturday, state police reported.
Gregory M. Galek of Hempfield is charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct in connection with the 11:45 a.m. incident in the parking lot of Hempfield Square, according to court documents.
Trooper Charles Huss reported that a woman parking between Target and Lowe’s said there was a man exposing himself and performing a sex act while sitting inside his car.
Huss said he arrived to find Galek seated in his 2015 Nissan sedan in the parking lot “holding what appeared to be a gaming device in his hand and was listening to an MP3 audio device.”
When Huss asked Galek to step out of his vehicle, the trooper reported that the suspect’s brown leather belt was “unfastened as he exited his vehicle.”
“Upon interviewing Galek, he stated that his wi-fi is slow at his residence so he comes to the parking lot to connect to Lowe’s wi-fi for internet. He admitted that his genitals were outside of his pants during this time,” Huss reported.
A summons was mailed to Galek, who could not be reached for comment.
