1 injured in industrial accident in Chartiers
One person was sent to a local trauma center Thursday after an industrial accident in Chartiers Township, according to Ambulance & Chair EMS.
The EMS service said it worked with Chartiers Township police and fire crews and STAT MedEvac.
Additional information about the accident and the extent of the victim’s injuries were not immediately available.
Jeannette police report missing teen found safe
A teenage girl who had been missing has been found and is safe, according to Jeannette police.
Police had asked the public for help finding a missing 14-year-old girl.
Josefia Guadalupe Chairez was last seen leaving Jeannette Senior High School around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.
Police said Chairez had recently moved to Jeannette from Orange County, Calif. She doesn’t have a cellphone or other ways to communicate.
Police say vehicle fire probed as intentional
Pittsburgh police and fire crews were dispatched to a reported vehicle on fire early Friday morning.
The fire was reported around 2:45 a.m. at the 1000 block of Woods Run Avenue along the border of the city’s Brighton Heights and Marshall-Shadeland neighborhoods.
Firefighters quickly gained control of the situation, public safety officials said.
The initial investigation indicates the fire was intentional, officials said. Fire Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
