Greensburg police arrive at a residence on Menoher Way in the city for a report of a shooting about 2 p.m. Tuesday. May 21, 2019

Workers with the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office removed a body from a Greensburg home Tuesday after a reported shooting that investigators said involved the death of a man.

The identity of the deceased was not available.

After the body was removed at 5:50 p.m. from the Menoher Way residence, Coroner Ken Bacha said an autopsy would be performed Wednesday. Any further information about the death would have to come from police, Bacha said.

No details were available from investigators.

County emergency dispatchers received a call about 2 p.m. to report the incident. Greensburg police were seen searching the home.

A woman was taken to the downtown police department to be interviewed, police said. Detective John Swank declined to comment on the case. No one has been arrested, he said.

Police used yellow crime scene tape to block off the home as authorities worked inside and interviewed neighbors. An officer removed a small dog from the home.

The home is just off Grove Street across an alley from the Fifth Ward Playground and close to Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.
