Murrysville pizza restaurant on sale for $1.75 million

A Murrysville pizza restaurant that opened in 2020 along the Westmoreland Heritage Trail is up for sale.

And where many restaurants go up for sale when times are tough, one of Ginny’s owners said their situation is the opposite.

“It’s almost too busy,” said Chris Juricich. “We have four other businesses between my brothers and myself, and we’re kind of running around like chickens with our heads cut off attending to all of them.”

Ginny’s Neighborhood Pizza Joint, part of a small shopping plaza along Old William Penn Highway, has been placed on the market for $1.75 million by the Specialty Group, a real estate firm in Ross.

Chris and brothers Nick and Michael Juricich founded the restaurant in memory of their grandmother Virginia “Ginny” Nigro, who owned Nigro’s Restaurant in North Versailles.

“Reservations are required to get a seat most evenings at Ginny’s,” the Specialty Group description reads. “Business has grown each and every year, with 2023 being the busiest year to date.”

Juricich said the brothers have a hands-on management style, and were concerned they were spreading themselves too thin.

“A lot of owners can take their foot off the gas and step away,” Juricich said. “But that’s not really our style. And having that mentality about all five businesses can really be a strain.”

The restaurant can accommodate about 100 people between its dining and lounge areas, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The sale comes complete with furniture, fixtures, equipment and the restaurant’s existing Pennsylvania liquor license.

“We’ve fielded a couple of offers, but we’re really taking our time. We’re not in any hurry to sell,” Juricich said. “It’s named for our grandmother and we really want to make sure it’s in good hands going forward.”

Ginny’s will remain open through the sale, according to the Specialty Group listing.
