A Murrysville woman who called 911 last month alleging her boyfriend was assaulting her was cited for making false reports.

Tracey L. Meszaros, 53, was charged this week with two counts of making false reports and a single count of criminal mischief after the 3:45 a.m. Sept. 25 incident in which police allege Meszaros hung up on a county 911 operator after make the abuse claim.

Murrysville police Officer Matthew Panigal said, when the county dispatcher attempted to call back, Meszaros’s boyfriend answered and said there was not a physical altercation and Meszaros had fabricated the incident during a verbal argument. According to court documents, when the dispatcher asked to speak with Meszaros, she refused to come to the telephone.

When Murrysville and Delmont police jointly responded to the house along Manorfield Circle, Panigal said Meszaros answered the door and “appeared to be calm and had no sign of physical injury.”

When asked what happened, Panigal said, Meszaros told police she and her boyfriend had argued “and she wanted him removed from the house.”

Police also allege in court documents that Meszaros claimed the boyfriend had “destroyed her kitchen.”

When officers asked to look at the kitchen, Panigal said “the kitchen was not out of order.”

Police said the boyfriend reported he was leaving the residence and alleged that Meszaros had thrown his belongings into the backyard and he discovered a tire slashed on his car. The damaged items included a diabetic testing device.

“I looked outside and the entire backyard was littered with clothes and household items that belonged to (the boyfriend). (Meszaros) denied slashing the tire,” Panigal wrote.

Meszaros could not be reached for comment and an attorney was not listed in court documents. Meszaros was charged via mailed summons and a preliminary hearing is scheduled Nov. 12 before Export District Judge Charles Conway.
