North Huntingdon planning director resigns; interim named
North Huntingdon’s associate planning and zoning director is in charge of the department after the resignation of the former director last month.
Ryan Fonzi was named interim director following the Sept. 6 resignation of Andrew W. Blenko, said Jeff Silka, township manager. Blenko, who had been the township’s planning director since October 2006, left his job with the township for a position in private industry.
Fonzi has been with the planning department since May 2006.
Any decision by the township to advertise for a planning and zoning director will be made at a future date, Silka said. The township commissioners’ next meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Town House.
