Some famous and not-so-famous Irish foremothers will be discussed during the Women of Ireland Cultural Program at 6 p.m. March 14 at the Norwin Public Library, Caruthers Lane, Irwin.
Donna Jordan of North Huntingdon, who has conducted extensive research into her family’s heritage in Scotland and Ireland, will presented the program. She conducts about six genealogy programs, which are very popular, every year at the library, said Krista Brown, the library’s adult program coordinator.
The Irish cultural history event is part of the library’s celebration of National Women’s History Month. The program will not deal with genealogical research.
The program is free, but registration is requested. Contact the library at 724-863-4700, ext. 3.
