An Ohio man described in court papers as an obsessed fan is accused of traveling across state lines to the Murrysville home of two rock musicians.

Anthony A. Carpenter, 42, was arrested Tuesday by municipal police after he was seen outside the home in doorbell video footage, according to court papers. He is charged with stalking, defiant trespass and harassment. His address is about four hours away from Murrysville.

Police said he was seen on the video doorbell around 7:30 a.m. ringing it and walking around the house, despite numerous “no trespassing” signs posted on the property, according to court papers. Officers arrested him at a nearby restaurant.

A man who lives there gave police letters and emails written by Carpenter. In them, he professes his love for a woman who lives there and refuses to stop coming to their home, authorities said.

He was denied bail and was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A preliminary hearing is set for June 4.

Carpenter was cited for defiant trespass in an April 20 incident that police said was similar to Tuesday’s.
