Pennsylvania Lottery awards $1 million winner in Belle Vernon

A Fayette County woman scratched off a $1 million prize in the Pennsylvania Lottery’s "$1,000,000 Winnings" game.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials presented a commemorative $1 million check on Thursday to a Fayette County woman at the Belle Vernon sports bar where she purchased the ticket.

Brittnee Boot purchased the winning “$1,000,000 Winnings” ticket at Foster House II in Belle Vernon.

Boot was joined by Foster House II co-owner Theresa Bashada and Eric Grubbs, the lottery’s deputy executive director of sales and retail operations at the check presentation.

Boot claimed the second of five top prizes of $1 million in the “$1,000,000 Winnings” scratch-off game. Among the top six winning prizes more than 15,000 tickets worth $200 remain in circulation, along with more than 48,000 tickets worth $400, more than 3,700 worth $1,000, 39 worth $4,000 and 20 that are worth $50,000.
