State police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a bicyclist Friday night on Route 982 in Derry Township.

The crash was reported shortly after 9 p.m. near the Derry Township municipal building, east of Greenfield Road.

Daemian Keener, 23, of Derry was riding south along the fog line near the edge of the road when he was struck by the side mirror of a gray sedan traveling behind him in the same direction, police said.

Keener suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel, police said.

The motorist fled in an unknown direction. Police recovered a plastic cover of a vehicle mirror at the scene.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact Trooper John Prunier at 724-697-5780.
