Products from Somerset’s Moo Echo Dairy should be discarded, state says

Moo Echo Dairy in Somerset County

Several products from a Somerset County dairy farm should be discarded because they were not properly pasteurized, the state Department of Agriculture said.

Products from Moo Echo Dairy were sold at several Westmoreland and Somerset county stores including Lapp’s Family Market in Unity Township, Dormina’s Kitchen Cupboard in Jenner Township, Davidsville Fuel in Conemaugh Township and at the dairy’s store in Somerset Township.

Products that should be discarded include:

Milk — whole, 2%, low fat, skim, chocolate and strawberry that are sold in gallons, half-gallons, quarts and pints Cheese — except aged cheddar, Swiss and Colby Ice cream — in half-gallons and pints along with ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cakes

Illnesses related to the products have yet to be reported. Anyone who feels sick after eating the dairy products should consult their doctor.
