WestCo Roller Derby team captain Sarah Welch of Youngwood, third from the left, competes during a September 2019 game against a team from Marietta, Ohio.

The WestCo Roller Derby team will host its third match of the season at 7 p.m. June 24 at Palmer Imaging Arena in Salem.

The team will take on Iron Mountain Roller Derby out of Cumberland, Md.

“Both teams have worked hard to rebuild coming out the pandemic. For some of our newer skaters, the upcoming game will mark the first or second time they’ve played publicly,” said Karen Struble Myers, WestCo Treasurer. “It’s exciting to have an audience, especially one that is as enthusiastic as ours.”

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children under 12 are admitted free. Purchase advance tickets by emailing westcorollerderby@gmail.com.

WestCo Roller Derby is a recreational team welcoming women from Westmoreland, Fayette, and Cambria counties.

Palmer Imaging Arena is at 100 Center Ice Drive in Salem.
