State police in Greensburg are looking for the driver of a car that hit a pedestrian in Youngwood Monday.
Police said a 33-year-old man was taken to Excela Health Westmoreland hospital in Greensburg by Mutual Aid Ambulance for treatment after the 12:34 p.m. incident. His identity was not released.
Trooper Jesse Niehenke said the man was walking in an alley behind the 200 block of South 3rd Street when he was hit by the driver’s side mirror of the car, which did not stop. The car is believed to be a black or dark gray Acura.
“The Acura fled in an unknown direction and is missing the driver’s side rear-view mirror,” Niehenke said.
Niehenke said troopers searched the area, but could not locate the car.
Anyone with information is asked to call Niehenke at 724-832-3288.
