A Philadelphia man is accused of stalking in connection with sexual messages sent to a Unity woman, one of which was a picture of her face superimposed on a nude woman, according to court papers.

Shane P. Cassidy, 24, is accused of using images from the Unity woman’s social media account and repeatedly contacted her on several cell phone numbers between February and May, Westmoreland County detectives said.

He did not know the woman.

Many of the messages addressed her by name, police said. Cassidy is accused of sending a photo of his genitals and trying to have a video call with her, according to court papers. Investigators connected one of the numbers to Cassidy and confirmed it with two probation and parole agents who supervise him.

He is charged with stalking, indecent exposure and harassment charges. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. An Aug. 12 preliminary hearing is set.

Cassidy has faced similar charges on numerous occasions with offenses dating back to 2017, according to online court records. He is serving five years of probation in Delaware County in connection with an indecent exposure charge.
