Trio charged in North Huntingdon thefts
Two men and a woman were arrested last week and jailed on North Huntingdon police accusations that they broke into a township home and stole $18,000 worth of items, according to court papers.
Andrew Mark Bimbo, 34, who has Blairsville and Pittsburgh addresses; Anthony J. Sinatra Jr., 27; and Franki Lynn Miller, 23, were being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $100,000 bail each. Both Sinatra and Miller were listed as homeless in court records.
Authorities were called to the Clay Pike home Jan. 31 for a reported break in. Miller and Sinatra lived there previously but Sinatra had been kicked out and Miller hadn’t been seen for a few days, according to court papers.
The residents told police several items were missing, including jewelry, two laptops and currency with special markings, according to court papers. A witness told investigators Miller had asked him to pick up her hamster from the house Jan. 31 and while he was there, he saw Miller, Sinatra and a third man putting items in bags.
Surveillance video from a nearby business showed the three suspects were inside the house for several hours. The video showed the witness walk out with the hamster cage just bef0re the trio hauled out several bags and left, according to court papers. The witness identified Bimbo as the third man in a photo line up, police said.
None of the suspects had attorneys listed in online court records.
Bimbo and Miller are charged with theft and conspiracy. Bimbo faces an additional criminal mischief charge. Sinatra is charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Preliminary hearings are set for Friday.
