More theft charges were filed Tuesday against a Hempfield woman who owned a Youngwood gun shop.

Westmoreland County detectives said Tracey G. McMahan, 67, took $3,600 from two customers who made down payments for gun purchases and kept two guns that were to be sold on consignment at Hi-Grade Shooters Supply.

She scheduled to plead guilty April 24 in four other cases involving similar allegations filed last year by state police and county detectives. Authorities said she kept $153,000 from about 30 customers who either gave her down payments or firearms to sell on consignment in those four cases.

In the new complaint filed Tuesday, two customers told detectives they provided McMahan with $1,800 each in 2022 and 2023 for the purchase of three guns. Two other customers said they each gave McMahan a shotgun to sell at the business for $3,200 and $13,000. The gun owners told investigators they never received any proceeds from a sale, according to court papers.

McMahan is charged with three counts of theft and a single count of receiving stolen property. She is free on unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing on the latest case is scheduled March 5. Her attorney declined to comment.
