5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: Feb. 16-19
It’s the weekend — three days off for some with Presidents Day on Monday. Here are some ways to spend it.
Ghost Hounds
The Ghost Hounds will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks. The blues-rock group announced singer and songwriter Orianthi, who has performed with Michael Jackson and Alice Cooper, will be a special guest.
This show is the group’s first headlining performance since the release of the July 2023 album, “First Last Time.”
The song “Last Train To Nowhere” has amassed over 2.6 million streams to date.
It was ranked No. 1 in YouTube views in the New Classic Rock category. Their debut album “Roses Are Black” was released in 2019 and generated millions of streams.
Ghost Hounds have toured with Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks, Bob Seger and ZZ Top.

Spirits of the Burgh
The inaugural Spirits of the Burgh Festival is from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at The Grand Hall at The Pennsylvanian, Downtown. It will include distilleries, spirit-makers, mixologists and other libations. Guests can sample local spirits and cocktails from more than 20 purveyors. Local beer, wine and cider, and nonalcoholic options will be available.
There will be food vendors. DJ Samuel Andres will be spinning tunes.
A tasting and food pairing is happening at Wigle Whiskey in the Strip District from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., which includes festival admission for $89.
Limited tickets are available for festival admission only for $59.
A portion of proceeds will benefit Irreverent Warriors in their support of veterans.

Auto Show
The Pittsburgh International Auto Show is happening this weekend at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown. The event will showcase the latest in safety features and digital gadgets. Guests can take a seat in a sporty convertible and calculate the cargo space of a new SUV.
Pittsburgh Cars ‘N’ Coffee will showcase a 2018 Bentley Continental, a 2021 Lamborghini Aventador and a 2023 Aston Martin DBS.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
Admission is $15, $12 for seniors and military, $7 for ages 6-16, free for kids under 6.

Drake
Drake’s “It’s All a Blur — Big as the What?” tour will be in town at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at PPG Paints Arena, Uptown. J. Cole will open the show.
Known for songs such as “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance” and “God’s Plan,” Drake last performed in Pittsburgh on Aug. 17, 2016. He released his latest album, “For All the Dogs,” in October.

Theater festival
Suspension Theatrical Arts is hosting its first 24-hour theater festival, “Full Day Suspension,” this weekend at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale. The in-house repertory company for Mr. Smalls Presents will have auditions on Friday for those who previously signed up. There will be no walk-in auditions.
The festival will be directed by Zev Woskov. Playwrights pick which actors they would like to write for and will create a play overnight. The writers receive feedback from the playwright in residence, TJ Young.
The 10-minute plays, cast, written and rehearsed in 24 hours, will be performed at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $20, $10 for students, artists and Millvale residents, and will be available at the door.
