Chimney fire in Murrysville

Emergency crews were called to fight a chimney fire Monday morning in Murrysville.

Authorities closed a portion of Christy Road shortly after 8:15 a.m. as firefighters worked to douse a chimney fire that had made its way into the wall of a home near Christy and Mamont roads, emergency officials said.


North Braddock man missing

Allegheny County Police are seeking information on a missing North Braddock man.

Travis M. Jones, 36, was last seen around 6 p.m. Jan. 18 in the 1400 block of Grandview Avenue, county detectives said. He has a developmental disability and was last known to be wearing a gray coat and reflective vest. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds.

Jones works at the Giant Eagle store in North Versailles, but did not arrive for his Jan. 19 shift, police said.
