A couple was expecting a shipment of dresses but got a bonus box with 24,800 ecstasy pills.
The pair was enjoying breakfast at their home in Linz, Austria when the parcels arrived, reports CNN. One box contained the anticipated two dresses ordered online from the Netherlands. But the second parcel was shockingly packed with purple ecstasy tablets.
The woman, 58, reportedly thought the pills were decorative stones but her husband, 59, suspected they were drugs and took them back to the post office, according to CNN and a report from the police..
The post office alerted local police.
Authorities determined the drugs were originally destined for Scotland and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
Austrian police valued the shipment of pills at about $550,000 but Police Scotland told CNN the value in their country is closer to $205,000.
