Watching the Democratic Party leadership is a lot like watching a movie titled “The Three Stooges Meet the Keystone Cops.”
The Russia hoax blew up in the Dems’ faces. The Steele dossier was paid for by the Democratic National Committee on behalf of the Clinton campaign and was never verified. The FBI relied on it to get a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign’s former foreign policy adviser, Carter Page. The Mueller investigation found no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. It all went nowhere.
And since that colossal failure, the Dems have decided impeachment can stop the Trump train from making America great again. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said impeachment was “urgent,” but apparently not urgent enough to prevent her from withholding the articles for a month. Perhaps she was waiting for her “impeachment pens” to be delivered. The spectacle of her delivering the articles looked more like announcing the creation of a circular firing squad made up of Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and herself.
Now the impeachment-obsessed Dems want the Senate to call witnesses. I hope they do. They can bring John Bolton, but the Republicans can bring both Bidens, the whistleblower (if he/she actually exists), Adam Schiff and even Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Let’s get it all out there.
I’m going to miss this Democratic circus after the next election. I’d have to go to the now-defunct Barnum & Bailey to see this many clowns in the same place at one time.
