Letter to the editor: Who is spreading hate, Kimmel or Trump?

We see once again that truth is stranger than fiction in both the president and first lady calling for the firing of late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

What was Kimmel’s grave sin? He made a tasteless joke that Mrs. Trump has “the glow of an expectant widow.”

The first lady said in response, “People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.”

Has the first lady ever listened to her husband speak? Does she think he spreads love and seeks to unite when he refers to his enemies as “low-life scum,” “traitors,” “enemies of the people,” “slimeball,” “wacko,” “vermin,” “garbage,” “crazy,” “loser”? He has called for those who oppose him to be charged with treason and to be executed.

Apparently, Melania Trump’s credo is that free speech is to be prohibited when her husband is the target of it, another attempt to rewrite the Constitution, Trump style.
