3-time All-Star Brandon Phillips set to play at Wild Things Park this weekend

Three-time MLB All-Star Brandon Phillips is returning to the diamond in Western Pennsylvania.
No, it won’t be at PNC Park for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The 39-year-old four-time Gold Glove winner will be 35 minutes south at Wild Things Park playing for the Baseball Brilliance Sox.
He is set to play with the Sox at 3 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Phillips will play against the Wild Things on Sunday to cap off the weekend.
Phillips has played in two games for the Sox so far, tallying one hit in nine at-bats. That hit was a two-run home run against the Slammin Sammies on July 11.

Phillips spent 17 years in the league. He played for the Cleveland Indians, the Los Angeles Angels, the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox but spent the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Reds. He last played in the majors in 2018.
He finished his major league career with a .275 batting average, 211 home runs and 951 RBIs.
