The 325 on the bat held by shortstop Dick Groat of the Pittsburgh Pirates is the batting average that won him the 1960 National League batting championship. Groat also was named NL MVP that season as the Bucs won the World Series. Groat died Thursday in UPMC Presbyterian hospital at the age of 92.
