In Instagram post, Antonio Brown says he's sorry ... again
Antonio Brown is sorry … again.
At least that’s what a post on the former Steelers, Raiders and Patriots wide receiver’s verified Instagram account says.
Brown, who is being investigated by the NFL in the wake of sexual assault allegations, took to Instagram on Friday afternoon, apologizing for what he called “inexcusable” behavior during his playing days.
“Over the years I was met with challenges and I can honestly say I didn’t handle those challenges in the manner that I should have,” Brown says in the post. “Over the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to think about everything that’s transpired and I am deeply sorry to all who I’ve offended.”
He included a photo of himself wearing a Steelers jersey with the post.
Brown has been clamoring to get back into the NFL since the Patriots released him in September. In November, Brown apologized to Patriots owner Robert Kraft and the team for the “bad media and the drama.”
He called the turmoil surrounding him a “minor setback.”
The apology is in stark contrast to Brown’s usual social media behavior, when he has lashed out at his previous teams and celebrated when the Raiders released him in September in what appeared to be a staged fashion.
