Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton was knocked out of the game Sunday when he was hit late by Washington linebacker Jon Bostic.

Former Pine-Richland High product Ben DiNucci emerged as the backup quarterback to replace Dalton.

Dalton, who replaced starter Dak Prescott when he suffered a dislocated ankle and a compound fracture that finished his season on Oct. 11, was scrambling from the pass rush and was late into his slide when Bostic gave him a late head shot.

Dalton needed assistance to walk to the locker room while Bostic was ejected from the contest.

DiNucci, who played two years at Pitt before transferring to James Madison, finished the game with two completions for 39 yards and was sacked three times.

Washington beat the Cowboys, 25-3.
