Forward Jansen Harkins scored two goals for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-4 overtime loss to the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (6-5-2-0) also got a goal and an assist from forward Valtteri Puustinen while forward Joshua Jagger contributed a goal. Goaltender Joel Bomqvist made 21 saves on 26 shots as his record fell to 4-2-1.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Providence Bruins on Friday, 7:05 p.m.

A shootout goal by forward David Jankowski gave the Wheeling Nailers a 6-5 road win against the Toledo Walleye at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Forwards Dillon Hamaliuk, Tanner Laderoute and Lukas Svejkovsky each had a regulation goal and an assist for Wheeling (6-3-0-0), while defenseman Isaac Belliveau and forward Jarret Lee each contributed two assists.

Goaltender Michael McNiven made 31 saves on 36 shots in regulation and overtime then stopped all three shootout attempts he faced to improve his record to 2-0-0.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Indy Fuel on Friday, 7 p.m.
