Minor league report: Nailers drop fourth straight to Komets

Goaltender Hayden Hawkey made 21 saves on 26 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 6-2 road loss to the Fort Wayne Komets at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Sunday.

It was Wheeling’s fourth consecutive loss, including three straight against Fort Wayne.

Forward Kyle Marino and Patrick McNally each scored goals for the Nailers (5-12-4).

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Indy Fuel on Wednesday, 7:10 p.m.
