Minor league report: Nailers edge Fuel for 3rd consecutive win

Goaltender Louis-Philip Guindon made 21 saves on 22 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-1 road win against the Indy Fuel at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis on Friday.

Forward Tim Doherty and defenseman Adam Smith each scored goals for Wheeling (35-28-4-0), which has won three consecutive games.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Toledo Walleye on Saturday, 7:10 p.m.
