Minor league report: Nailers' winning streak halted
The Wheeling Nailers’ franchise record 13-game winning streak came to an end with a 4-0 loss to the Toledo Walleye at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Friday.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 25 saves on 29 shots as his record slipped to 3-1-0.
Wheeling (17-4-1-0) was shut out for the first time this season. The Nailers’ most recent defeat was a 5-4 home overtime loss to the Trois-Rivières Lions on Nov. 8.
