Minor league report: Penguins, goaltender Dustin Tokarski beat Bears

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 29 saves on 30 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-1 home win against the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Forwards Jonathan Gruden, Sam Houde and Tyler Sikura all scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (13-6-1-2), which has won three consecutive games.

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Bears on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.

Forward Sean Josling scored two goals for the Wheeling Nailers in a 6-3 home loss to the Indy Fuel at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

Defenseman Josh Maniscalco recorded three assists for Wheeling (11-12-0-0) while defenseman Chris Ortiz contributed two assists. Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 16 saves on 21 shots in the defeat.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
