Minor league report: Penguins’ winning streak snapped by Bears

Goaltender Filip Lindberg made 30 saves on 32 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 2-1 home overtime loss to the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

Forward Alex Nylander scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (13-6-2-2) which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Toronto Marlies on Tuesday, 7 p.m.

Defenseman Josh Maniscalco and forward Cam Hausinger each had a goal and an assist for the Wheeling Nailers in a 7-4 road loss to the Fort Wayne Komets at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Forward Matt Alfaro and defenseman Chris Ortiz each recorded three assists for Wheeling (11-13-0-0) while goaltender Tommy Nappier made 22 saves on 28 shots in the defeat.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Cincinnati Cylcones on Sunday, 4:10 p.m.
