Minor league report: Peter Laviolette III, Nailers tame Grizzlies

Forward Peter Laviolette III scored two goals for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-2 road win against the Utah Grizzlies at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah on Monday.

Defenseman Justin Lee had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (29-18-1-1), which snapped a two-game losing streak, while Tanner Laderoute contributed a goal.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 22 saves on 24 shots and improved his record to 19-12-1.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
