Minor league report: Taylor Fedun’s overtime goal gives Penguins win

An overtime goal by defenseman Taylor Fedun gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 4-3 home win against the Syracuse Crunch at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Forward Drew O’Connor had a goal and two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (23-21-2-4) while forwards Valtteri Puustinen and Radim Zohorna contributed a goal and an assist. Goaltender Alex D’Orio made 24 saves on 27 shots in the victory which was the Penguins’ fourth in their past five games.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Bridgeport Islanders on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
