Robbie Ellis’s RBI hit drove in the winning run to highlight a five-run top of the sixth inning to lead Morrisville to a 9-4 victory against Blue Mountain in the Pennsylvania Little League 8-10 State Tournament on Wednesday at West Point.

The hit drove in Gavin Reilly, who walked and advanced to third base on a wild pitch.

Blue Mountain tied the score with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Seamus Burke and Ellis had two hits each.

Maxwell Fleagle had a double, and Anthony Amato had two singles.

Abington 4, Hermitage 0 — Jerry Jordan hit a two-run double in the first inning, and Abington rolled to a win. Jordan and Daniel Spanish had two hits apiece.

Winning pitcher Jake Kwiatkowski tossed a two-hit shutout.

Losing pitcher Carter Hicks had two hits for Hermitage.

Abington and Morrisville will meet at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Newton 8, St. Marys 1Brayden Peiffer had four hits including a double, and Newton bounced back from a tough loss on opening day. Rocco DaBronzo, Tyler Neekt and Tyler Wexler each had two hits for Newton, which had four hits in the second inning to grab a 2-0 lead.

Saverio Lonho was the winning pitcher.

Losing pitcher Blake Stauffer and Leo Simbeck each had two hits for St Marys.

Somerset 4, West Side 3 — Hudson Knapik had a triple and Hayes Knapik had two hits to lead Somerset to a victory in the elimination bracket.

Somerset scored three runs in the second inning to grab a 4-2 lead. Levi Buterbaugh doubled in the win.

Ryan Radio doubled and Zach Taylor had two hits for West Side, which is located in West Chester. Radio was the losing pitcher while Micah Reese was the winning pitcher.

• Thursday’s schedule is elimination bracket games. St. Marys faces West Side at 1:45 p.m., Blue Mountain faces Somerset at 4, and Hermitage plays Newton at 6:30.
