Penguins assign forward Emil Bemstrom to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Pittsburgh Penguins assigned forward Emil Bemstrom to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Saturday.

In 14 NHL games this season, Bemstrom has recorded one assist while averaging 8:20 of ice time per contest.

An All-Star selection at the AHL level this season, Bemstrom has appeared in 45 contests for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and posted 46 points (21 goals, 25 assists).

A right-handed shot, Bemstrom (6-foot, 190 pounds) is signed to a one-year contract with a salary cap hit of $775,000.

Including the preseason, Bemstrom, 25, has been shuffled between the NHL and AHL roster on nine different occasions in 2024-25.
