A look at how players with connections to the Pittsburgh Penguins have done in the ongoing International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship tournament:

Penguins defenseman Marcus Pettersson scored a goal for Sweden, which lost to Czechia, 7-3, in a semifinal round game at the 02 Arena in Prague on Saturday.

Deployed on the second pairing along with fellow Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson, Pettersson logged 15:35 of ice time on 24 shifts and had one shot.

Karlsson clocked 22:34 of ice time on 28 shifts and had three shots.

Highlights:

Sweden will face Canada for the bronze medal on Sunday, 9:20 a.m. (EDT).

Penguins forward Michael Bunting was held without a point for Canada in a 3-2 shootout loss to Switzerland at the O2 Arena.

Opening the contest on the left wing of the fourth line, Bunting recorded 13:01 of ice time on 18 shifts and one shot.

Highlights:

Switzerland will face Czechia for the gold medal on Sunday, 2:20 p.m.
