The Penguins’ first-round playoff series with the New York Rangers is scheduled to open on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

Early Saturday morning, the NHL released the schedule for all eight first-round series.

The Penguins-Rangers series is:

Game 1 – Tuesday, May 3 at New York, 7 p.m.

Game 2 – Thursday, May 5 at New York, 7 p.m.

Game 3 – Saturday, May 7 at Pittsburgh, 7 p.m.

Game 4 – Monday, May 9, at Pittsburgh, 7 p.m.

Game 5 – Wednesday, May 11 at New York, time TBD (If necessary)

Game 6 – Friday, May 13 at Pittsburgh, time TBD (If necessary)

Game 7 – Sunday, May 15 at New York, time TBD (If necessary)

The Penguins went 1-3 in their four-game regular season series with the Rangers during the 2021-22 campaign.

All-time, the Penguins and Rangers have met in seven postseason series with the Penguins having won five of those meetings.
