Penguins re-sign forward prospect Corey Andonovski
The Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed forward prospect Corey Andonovski to a one-year, two-way contract with a salary cap hit of $775,000.
Andonovski was a restricted free agent and just completed a two-year entry-level contract with a salary cap hit of $925,000.
The Penguins signed the undrafted Andonovski out of Princeton in March 2022, and he has spent parts of the past three seasons Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Last season, the 25-year-old Andonovski (6-foot-1, 194 pounds) appeared in 63 games and scored 30 points (seven goals, 23 assists).
With Andonovski signed, the Penguins have 49 players under contract for the 2024-25 season, one short of the NHL limit of 50.
After this transaction, four active players who finished the 2023-24 season under contract with the Penguins remain unsigned for the 2024-25 campaign.
