Penguins recall forward Jonathan Gruden from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

In 43 AHL games this season, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Jonathan Gruden has scored 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists).

The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled rookie forward Jonathan Gruden from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Tuesday.

Per Cap Friendly, Gruden was recalled under emergency conditions.

This marks the sixth time Gruden has been recalled to the NHL roster this season.

In 11 NHL contests this season, Gruden has scored one goal while averaging 8:49 of ice time per contest.

With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Gruden has played in 43 AHL games and scored 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists).

A left-handed shot, the 23-year-old Gruden is signed to a one-year, two-way contract that carries a salary cap hit of $775,000.
