The Penguins have recalled forwards Drew O’Connor and Filip Hallander from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).

O’Connor was assigned to the NHL roster while Hallander was assigned to the taxi squad.

Shuffled between the NHL and AHL rosters sporadically throughout the season, O’Connor, a second-year professional who is still a rookie, has played in 20 NHL games and has five points (two goals, three assists). He has also appeared in five AHL games and has five points (two goals, three assists) at that level.

Hallander, a second-round pick (No. 58 overall) in 2018, has played in 24 AHL games this season and has eight points (three goals, five assists). A native of Sweden, he is in his first North American season.
