The Pittsburgh Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Tristan Jarry in Saturday’s home game against the Buffalo Sabres at PPG Paints Arena.

Coach Mike Sullivan announced Jarry’s status following an optional morning skate.

In 25 games this season, Jarry has an 11-11-2 record, a 2.58 goals against average, a .912 save percentage and four shutouts.

Jarry is hoping to rebound from his most recent outing, a 4-3 home loss to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday in which he allowed three goals on seven shots and was pulled after only 13:02 of ice time.

Throughout his career, Jarry has faced the Sabres in 11 games, posting a 9-2-0 record, a 2.08 goals against average, a .924 save percentage and two shutouts.

Forwards – Jansen Harkins, Evgeni Malkin, Drew O’Connor, Valtteri Puustinen, Radim Zohorna

Defensemen – Ryan Graves, P.O Joseph, Kris Letang, Chad Ruhwedel, Ryan Shea

Goaltenders – Jarry, Alex Nedeljkovic

Forward Reilly Smith briefly took the ice prior to the morning skate to handle and shoot pucks then departed once the skate formally began.

• Penguins defenseman Marcus Petterson has appeared in 399 career games.

The Sabres are scheduled to start goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. In 18 games this season, Luukkonen, has a 7-8-2 record, a 3.13 goals against averaged, an .892 save percentage and one shutout.

Throughout his career, Luukkonen has played the Penguins in three games and posted a 1-2-0 record, a 2.71 goals against averaged and .922 save percentage.
