Pirates activate righty reliever Dauri Moreta, place lefty Angel Perdomo on 15-day IL

The Pittsburgh Pirates made a bullpen move Sunday, activating right-handed reliever Dauri Moreta and placing lefty Angel Perdomo on the 15-day injured list.

Moreta, who was out with low back inflammation, ended a rehabilitation assignment and is expected to return to his fireman role. He is 4-2 with a 4.10 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, 11.7 strikeouts and 4.1 walks per nine innings in 48 appearances this season.

Perdomo, who is experiencing left elbow discomfort, is 3-2 with a 3.72 ERA and 1.10 WHIP, 13.7 strikeouts and 3.4 walks per nine innings in 30 appearances.
