INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 53-60) handled St. Paul (Twins), 8-4. RHP Roansy Contreras (1.29) started and allowed one run on one hit and two walks in four innings. He struck out five. RHP Yerry De Los Santos (1-5, 6.20) gave up one run on one hit in two innings to pick up the win. RHP Kyle Nicolas (8.42) pitched a scoreless inning, and LHP Rob Zastryzny (4.80) got the last out for his first save. CF Ji Hwan Bae (.321) went 3 for 5 with a double and three runs scored. 2B Nick Gonzales (.260) went 3 for 5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.256) went 3 for 5 with two run scored. RF Miguel Andujar (.358) went 2 for 4 with a walk and three RBIs. 1B Mason Martin (.257) went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 51-55) doubled up Bowie (Orioles), 8-4. RF Joe Perez (.500), who was signed by the Pirates on Saturday after he was released by the Houston Astros, went 4 for 5 with with a double, homer, two runs scored and two RBIs. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.293) went 2 for 3 with two runs scored, two RBIs and his 10th stolen base. C Carter Bins (.174) went 1 for 4 with a walk and a pair of RBIs. RHP Sean Sullivan (5-4, 4.07) started and earned the win, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in 5.1 innings. He fanned five. RHP Noe Toribio (4.60) allowed one unearned run in 2.2 innings.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 57-49) took care of Bowling Green (Rays), 5-1. 2B Termarr Johnson (.195) went 2 for 4 and homered for the third straight game. Between Bradenton and Greensboro this season, Johnson is hitting .237 with a .407 on-base percentage, 16 homers, eight stolen bases, 67 runs scored and 48 RBIs. 1B Josiah Sightler (.275) went 1 for 4 with his fifth homer. SS Jack Brannigan (.333) went 2 for 4 with his ninth homer. RF Tres Gonzalez (.287) went 2 for 3 with a walk. RHP Po-Yu Chen (3.71) started and threw three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out five. RHP Jake Stevenson (2-0, 1.23) pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the win. RHP Valentin Linarez (4.58) struck out six in three scoreless innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 62-46) defeated Lakeland (Tigers), 14-13, in a game where all heck broke loose after No. 1 overall draft pick Paul Skenes made his Class A debut. The Marauders took a 14-0 lead after three innings and desperately held on to win. Skenes (0.00) pitched the first, giving up a single, getting two strikeouts and recording the final out in a rundown after a baserunning blunder by Lakeland. LF Charles McAdoo (.548) went 2 for 5 with his third homer, a three-run shot in the first. CF Deivis Nadal (.211) went 2 for 4 with a grand slam, his seventh homer. 2B Mitch Jebb (.305) went 2 for 5 with a double, triple and RBI and two runs scored. RHP Hung-Leng Chang (10.57) came on after Skenes and allowed nine runs, five earned, on eight hits and two walks in three innings. He allowed three homers. RHP Patrick Reilly (1-0, 9.82) gave up one run in two innings to earn the win. RHP Elijah Birdsong (5.40) got the last out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth for his seventh save.
