RHP Po-Yu Chen (4-7, 3.90) started and pitched seven innings, allowing one run on four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. RHP Eddy Yean (3.13) worked a perfect eighth and LHP Luis Peralta (0.00) pitched a perfect ninth for his first save. The Curve managed only six hits, all singles. LF Tres Gonzalez (.207) went 1 for 2 with a walk and two RBIs. C Carter Bins (.216) went 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 52-31) threw a four-hit shutout and beat Winston-Salem (White Sox), 3-0. RHP Derek Diamond (5-1, 3.72) started and went six innings, allowing two hits and one walk with five strikeouts. LHP Yoldin De La Paz (6.75) worked the last three innings, giving up two hits and a walk with three strikeouts for his first save. LF Luke Brown (.175) went 1 for 3 with his seventh homer. 1B Nick Cimillo (.298) went 1 for 1 with a double and three walks. CF Hudson Head (.233) went 2 for 3. SS Jack Brannigan (.220) went 1 for 4 with a run scored. 3B Maikol Escotto (.200) went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

LHP Inmer Lobo (1.23) threw 3⅓ scoreless innings, allowing no hits and striking out six. 1B Justin Miknis (.170) went 1 for 3 with a two-run homer, his first. 3B Juan Jerez (.243) went 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored. 2B Jeral Toledo (.236) went 1 for 4 with an RBI.
