ALTOONA (Double-A, 35-47) used six pitchers, including rehabbing major leaguers RHP David Bednar and LHP Ryan Borucki, to shut out Bowie (Orioles), 4-0. Bednar pitched a scoreless sixth, allowing no hits and striking out one. Borucki pitched 1⅔ scoreless without giving up a hit, striking out a pair. RHP Bubba Chandler (3.53) started and pitched two perfect innings, fanning two. LHP Jaden Woods (1-0, 7.20) came on in the third and allowed one hit in 1⅓ innings to earn the win. LHP Tyler Samaniego (3.71) allowed three hits and struck out three in two innings, and LHP Luis Peralta (0.00) worked the ninth. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.241) went 1 for 4 with a three-run homer, his ninth. 3B Charles McAdoo (.288) went 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 51-30) was outslugged 11-9 by Winston-Salem (White Sox). DH Jack Brannigan (.216) went 2 for 4 with a pair of home runs, his 12th and 13th, and four RBIs. CF PJ Hilson (.257) went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. 1B Nick Cimillo (.295) went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. SS Termarr Johnson (.245) went 1 for 4 with a walk, a run scored and two RBIs. RHP Wilber Dotel (5.43) started and allowed five runs on four hits and three walks in 1⅔ innings. RHP Elijah Birdsong (5.04) was touched up for three more runs on two hits and a walk in 1⅓ innings. RHP Valentin Linarez (3.38) pitched 2⅔ scoreless innings of relief.

DH Axiel Plaz (.224) went 3 for 4 with a double and two runs scored. 1B Eddy Rodriguez (.216) went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. 3B Wesley Zapata (.178) went 1 for 3 with a double and a pair of RBIs. RHP Carlson Reed (5-3, 2.75) started and went six innings, allowing three runs on five hits, including two homers, and two walks. He struck out six. RHP Landon Tomkins (3.96) pitched a scoreless seventh and RHP Mike Walsh (0.90) threw two scoreless frames to pick up his first save.
