The Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday afternoon released a revised 18-game spring training schedule that features a Grapefruit League opener against the New York Yankees on March 18 at LECOM Park in Bradenton.

The Pirates will play nine home games and nine away games with one day off in the new spring training schedule.

They host the Detroit Tigers on March 19, Baltimore Orioles on March 22, Philadelphia Phillies on March 24, Minnesota Twins on March 25, Boston Red Sox on March 29, the Orioles on March 31, Toronto Blue Jays on April 1 and Tampa Bay Rays on April 3.

The Pirates will visit the Blue Jays in Dunedin on March 20, Rays in Port Charlotte on March 21, Tigers in the Lakeland on March 23, Orioles in Sarasota on March 26, Yankees in Tampa on March 28, Twins in Fort Myers on March 30, Red Sox in Fort Myers on April 2, Orioles in Sarasota on April 4 and finish against the Phillies in Clearwater on April 5.
