For the second straight week, the Riverhounds had two players named to the USL Championship Team of the Week.
Midfielders Danny Griffin and Kenardo Forbes were recognized for their performance in Pittsburgh’s 6-0 win over Philadelphia Union II on Saturday.
Griffin posted one of the best games of his young career at Subaru Park in his first career professional start. He tallied two assists and scored his first goal in the 37th minute of the game.

The Wethersfield, Conn. native also assisted on Lukas Fernandes’ first professional goal in the second half and Pittsburgh’s first goal of the game.
Like always, Forbes turned in another top-tier performance for the black and gold. The Kingston, Jamaica native assisted on three goals and also tallied two shots, one of which was on target.
Forbes’ third assist of the game was the 35th of his career, which ties him with Jorge Herrera for second place on the USL Championship all-time career assists list. Forbes is two assists away from becoming the all-time career assists leader, a spot held by Maikel Chang.
