Colonials coach Drew McMinn joins me to look at the team’s first-round match up against Virginia.
The Cavaliers are the No. 3 seed and one of the most tradition-rich programs in the country.
Last year, RMU had a similar task against Maryland and held their own before losing 14-11 in the first round.

This year’s club was a little different for McMinn. The Colonials had to fight and claw their way to a 9-7 record before putting things together in the NEC tournament.
They had five games decided by one goal, including in the tournament final against Hobart. They are battle-tested, having played four ranked teams.
We talk to McMinn about the growth of his program, the expansion of the sport throughout the NCAA, how his team can look for an upset against UVA and what it was like to face Penn State, the top-ranked team in the country this season.
Plus, we dive into the state of scholastic lacrosse in Western Pennsylvania and how it impacts recruiting.
