Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury help Canada beat Austria

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby scored a goal for Canada in a 5-1 win against Austria in a preliminary round game in the International Ice Hockey Federation’s World Championship tournament at Avicii Arena in Stockholm on Thursday.

Opening the contest as Canada’s second-line center, Crosby had two shots on net and was 3 for 10 (30.0%) on faceoffs while logging 16:48 of ice time on 19 shifts.

Former Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 15 saves on 16 shots in the victory.

Canada’s next game is against Slovakia on Saturday, 2:20 p.m.
